2006 China Auto Suppliers Networking (CASN)
On October 27th of 2006, DCBA welcomed the Chinese delegation from Changchun city to CASN 2006. Over 100 people participated in the event. Dr. Ted Ying, executive vice president of DCBA, hosted the event, and Charlie Zhao, President of the DCBA, delivered welcome remark.
In his remark, Dr. Zhao introduced Changchun as the birthplace of the Chinese auto industry. With 70% of output coming from the auto industry, Changchun is structurally as well as historically comparable to Detroit. To bring these two cities together is most exciting and the ultimate realization of DCBA’s mission at work.
Led by Junliang Yang, Deputy Secretary General of Changchun City, the Chinese delegation from the auto center of China for the first time visited Detroit, the auto center of the world. Mr. Junliang Yang delivered the first speech, introducing the economic development of Changchun and expressing his sincere welcome to US investors. The city has been experiencing over 20% annual GDP growth, with the most recent 24% year-to-date growth rate. According to Mr. Yang, the city is the number one export base in China. With many foreign investors from Japan and Germany having established joint ventures, Changchun is ready to receive American companies and investors alike.
Mr. Fei Xue, Deputy General Manager of Actuation Unit of the Dong-Guang Group Corp., introduced his company products in detail. It is refreshing to see the company's emphasis in product quality, technology innovation and equipment modernization, which is reflected in its state-of-the-art production lines imported from foreign countries, such as Germany, Japan, Korea and the US. The representative from Tianjin Lilong Industry Co., Ltd. also impressed the audience with their quality products and services in the US market.
2006年中国汽车零部件洽谈会
2006年10月27日,来自中国长春市的政府领导和汽车零部件公司参加了2006年的中国汽车零部件洽谈会。100 多人出席了这一活动。常务副会长应盛儿博士主持洽谈会。会长赵成和博士致欢迎词。赵会长特别指出，长春是中国汽车工业的摇篮和发祥地。长春的工业产出有70%源于汽车工业。因此无论是从历史还是产业结构角度，长春与底特律都颇为相似。把这两个城市联系在一起是商会举办此次洽谈会的重要目的，结果令人兴奋。
由市政府秘书长杨俊良带领的长春代表团是第一次访问世界汽车之都。杨秘书长首先发言，介绍了长春的经济发展，表达了欢迎美国投资者的诚意。据杨秘书长介绍，长春的GDP 以每年超出20% 的速度增长。是中国汽车业的第一大出口基地。德国、日本已经在此投资建厂，长春也很期待来自美国的公司的投资。吉林汽车制动器厂的副总裁薛飞先生详细介绍了其公司的产品。他强调公司注重产品质量，技术更新和设备现代化。他们的生产线都是从德国，日本，朝鲜，和美国进口的。天津利龙工业控股公司的代表周海林先生则以实例向与会者展示了他们在北美市场的高质量产品和优质服务。
